Farmers 'owed $30m in vehicle registration compensation'

Farmers are owed up to $30 million in compensation for overcharged registration costs, according to the Shooters, Fishers and Farmers Party.

Shooters Orange MP Phil Donato says he has documents disclosing that farmers  have been overcharged “about $32 million over the past 20 years for their concessional vehicle registration”.

El Nino now a 70pc chance

LITTLE has changed in the long-term developing global patterns in the past few weeks. 

The El Niño–Southern Oscillation (ENSO) in the Pacific is still in a neutral phase with the Southern Oscillation Index (SOI) towards the lower end of the neutral range. However, the majority of international models still indicate it will trend towards an El Nino reaching the required thresholds in mid to late spring.
