Australian and Canadian competition regulators say they don't see the need to further scrutinise the Malteries Soufflet bid to buy Australia's big barley malting group.

North Bogabigal is an exceptionally well-located farm in the heart of NSW's highly productive Lachlan Valley.

The group will also visit dairy farms in the Netherlands.

There is cautious optimism among barley producers and exporters that trade with China will resume swiftly after tariffs were removed.
