Narrabri Lake
The Narrabri Lake was transformed by volunteers from swamp land into a recreational playground for swimmers, canoeists, picnickers and windsurfers. For the energetic at heart take the 3km walking/cycle track which loops the Lake. For bird watchers the islands, located at the southern end of the Lake, are a haven for local and migrating birds. The Lake attracts a wonderful array of birds. Pick up a Narrabri Lake bird brochure from the Visitor Information Centre for a full list. There are picnic tables and BBQ facilities at the Mooloobar Street end of the Lake.
